Hi, I’m Thomas aka Tantum and I make music. I’m a 24-year-old and currently living in southern Germany.

Hello, my name is Anton aka Arude, I’m a 24 year old Dj and producer from Ukraine.

Q: Favorite Club/Venue and why does it stand out from the rest?

Tantum: Thuishaven in Amsterdam has a special place in my heart. Fond memories of the “We are Lost” Festival last year.

Arude: “Deeportament Community” party at Fancy Room in Odessa. Amazing city, amazing people and always a huge support there.

Q: Analog or Digital? And why?

Tantum: I couldn’t live without one or the other, to be honest. However, I enjoy the haptics of analog gear, so even when I’m using a soft synth, I’ll map all the controls to a midi controller and do the automation by hand!

Arude: I guess you don’t need to care about what gear you’re using analogue or digital for writing music. Only can say that when you use the analogue gear you are more happy because you can touch it, but digital synths more convenient.

Q: What was the driving force that got you into DJing/Producing and when?

Tantum: Writing music was always a dream of mine. Since I’ve been learning the electric guitar as a kid, I tried to record a song at some point and soon had to figure out how to use a DAW. Then I started to make all kinds of music, experimenting with house beats was what ultimately got me hooked, even to this day! DJing came later, as I wanted to present my work to larger crowds.

Arude: As Thomas said, writing music was always a dream of mine. My brother showed me a "Fruity Loops" once. After that, I've been writing music almost every day and I wanna say that don’t learn any music courses. And of course after years of writing music I wanted to improve my skills in djing. I remember that my first official gig was at Kyiv-based club “Heaven”.

Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?

Tantum: Falling asleep in any situation possible. One might see me taking naps before performances, falling asleep in my college classes or nod off when talking to people.

Arude: I would like to travel around the world. That's not a superpower, but i dream about it, really!

Q: If you had to play 1 more track at your favorite club, what track would it be and why?

Tantum: Khen’s “Land of Goshen” (The outro version from his Album). Perfect track to close things up with

Arude: “Last Dance” by Eagles & Butterflies. Perfect track with a lot of emotions.

Q: What’s your biggest fear while performing?

Tantum: Power cuts out, CDJs randomly enter an emergency loop, USB isn’t working, Laptop greets me with a BSOD when performing live… all of which happened to me at some point before. Always sucks when you have to improvise in such a situation, but the anxiety gets better over time.

Arude: Press the cue button when you are playing a track.

Q: 1 person you’d dream to have a coffee with?

Tantum: Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5

Arude:  Moby.

Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?

Tantum: That would be “Memento”

Arude: That would be “The Lord Of The Rings”

Q: 3 Tracks that got you into electronic music

Tantum: DJ Fresh - Hypercaine

Deadmau5 - I Remember

Thomas Bangalter - Outrun

Arude: David Guetta - Love Is Gone

Deadmau5 - Ghosts 'N' Stuff (Feat. Rob Swire)

Nicky Romero -  Toulouse.

Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year.

Tantum: I have an EP coming in August which I’m very excited for. The lead track “Bismuth” is something I’m very proud of and have been teasing a lot, it’s also going to be on a label that I love really much (Juicebox Music). So definitely keep an eye out for that!Later this year there’s also a huge debut which I cannot announce just yet. But I’m sure it cannot be missed once it’s official.

Arude: I have an upcoming EP on Blindfold Recordings. Also, my track "Shock Me" will be released soon again on Radikon in V/A Compilation called "DUA".

Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners don’t know.

Tantum: It is physically impossible for me to burp… maybe I have some kind of condition.

Arude: I eat a lot of sweets, I think it's a problem.
