Hi, my name is Gab Rhome. I make music that you may like or not. I’ll make it anyway.

Q: Analog or Digital and why?

Analog, it’s just how I learned. The process makes a lot more sense to me, it’s more intuitive and I don’t have to think too much: I’m a big one knob per function fan.

Q: Favorite Club/Venue and why does it stand out from the rest?

Le Fracajazzz. It stands out because it doesn’t exist.

Q: What was the driving force that got you into DJing/Producing and when?

The ability to do a song from A to Z without depending on anyone. Jam sessions between friends are great but feeding pigeons in a park is not what I call a productive afternoon. Pranking your friend’s dad is though.

Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?

To be very good at gymnastics so I can finally get that gold medal. Winning bronze at the Olympic is apparently losing for the people who surround me.

Q: If you had to play 1 more track at your favorite club, what track would it be and why?

Midland – Final credit. Great song and title is adequate for the circumstances.

Q: What’s your biggest fear while performing?

The fear of the fear of tiger.

Q: 1 person you’d dream to have a coffee with?

Myself, I always carry my self-portraits for that reason.

Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?

I really like the creativity behind the Swiss Army Man soundtrack but I’d probably end up doing something not as good. I’d have to go with ‘’The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou’’. Bossa Nova covers of Bowie in between original songs is literally merging my three favorite things, besides the Jaguar Shark, together. In that order:

1. Jaguar Shark

2. Bossa Nova

3. Bowie

4. Original songs

Q: Recommend a Hidden Gem in your Home country you'd like to throw a rave in

We have some great diamonds.

Q: 3 Tracks that got you into electronic music

James Holden – 1010101

James Holden – Hidden (93 returning mix)

James Holden – A break into the clouds

Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year.

My next EP is the second release on my label Rendez-Vous. I have two songs coming out on Blond:ish’s Abracadabra label in March and a few other EPs confirmed that I will reveal closer to the release date.

Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners don’t know.

I travel with my own robe to combat homesickness, and it works.

Q: Last but not least, do you have any questions for us?

Gab Rhome: What are you wearing right now?
