Hi, my name is Salomé Le Chat. I am DJ and producer. Nice to e-meet you:)

Q: Favorite Club/Venue and why does it stand out from the rest?

Output in Brooklyn but unfortunately its not open anymore. I used to love the design and the sound of the club, with one big industrial room and another called Panther Room, very cosy and sexy. I loved the fact that you could have different vibes. Its a shame they had to close.

Q: Analog or Digital? And why?

Both ! Obviously analog sound stays the sexiest, but digital is amazing too, specially when you don’t have a studio. Nowadays you can do amazing things with a computer.

Q: What was the driving force that got you into DJing/Producing and when?

I wanted to live from my passion. After working as an event planner I decided to change my life and took a different direction. We only live once, wanted every moment to be meaningful. I started collecting music really young thanks to my mum. As a music lover too, she was taking me every weekends with her for record’s shopping and every morning we were watching musical channels instead of cartoons. This collecting passion eventually took me to djing after playing CD's for years in my friend’s living room

Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?

Eating all I want, non stop, without gaining weight. I know it doesn’t sound magical but it is to me. I have a voracious appetite.

Q: If you had to play 1 more track at your favorite club, what track would it be and why?

Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy. It’s my favourite song ever. Just timeless.

Q: What’s your biggest fear while performing?

Having technical problems.

Q: 1 person you’d dream to have a coffee with?

Rihanna

Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?

Mulholland Drive. It's  a masterpiece.  An explosively sexy love story with vanity and cruelty.

Q: Recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would fit a perfect rave?

The Païolive Wood in Ardeche, France

Q: 3 Tracks that got you into electronic music

Daft Punk - Revolution 909

Armand Van Helden - You don’t know me

Superfunk - lucky star

Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year.

My first EP One + One just got out on Rebellion. The track is called Cruising On The Playa and you also have a remix from the amazing S.A.M. I am really looking forward to it. This release means a lot to me. Damian Lazarus gave me a chance and I am thankful for this. I am now working on my next EP and also on a few edits I did with The Mekanism that we will release on Bandcamp soon !

Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners don’t know.

I always work on my music  from my bed :)
