Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?
Dillon: Evolution
Saffron: Energy.
Q: What was the driving force that got you into Music Production and when?
Dillon: I used to record myself singing and playing the guitar when I was 13. My dad bought me FL studio when I was 14 and my Aunt and Uncle bought me my first DJ controller when I was 15. I never stopped making electronic music since.
Saffron: I started Djing first, then I really got the urge to want to play my own music in my DJ set’s, so I downloaded Ableton and started playing around with it. I wanted to learn more so I did a really good Ableton Course at Point Blank in Hoxton. I’m still learning something new every day. Keep creating.
Q: Analog or Digital? And why?
Dillon: Analog because it has a human warmth that digital cannot replicate.
Saffron: I work a lot with digital but more recently analog stuff which sounds amazing and rich. So the combination of the both is the one!
Q: What's your favorite venue and why does it stand out from the rest?
Dillon: My favorite venue is the Brooklyn Mirage / Avant Gardner because it feels like a rave whether you play inside or outside.
Saffron: Right now it would be E1 in London. The venue, crowd and energy is always on point.
Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?
Dillon: Supersonic ears so I can hear more frequencies
Saffron: To fly. Music makes me feel like I’m flying so to imagine actually flying… wow.
Q: If you had to play 1 more track at your favorite club, what track would it be and why?
Dillon: I would play “Rhythm is Rhythm - Strings of Life” because this song changed the way I hear music.
Saffron: So In Love With You (Full Intention 12" Mix) - Duke because it’s a banger. Q: 1 person you'd dream to have a coffee with?
Dillon: Jimi Hendrix
Saffron: Dillon. We’ve made these tracks together but never met in person. It would be great to meet, connect and make more music.
Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?
Dillon: The Matrix because it was such an icon movie and a revolutionary time period for dance music.
Saffron: Breakfast at Tiffanys with the iconic Audrey Hepburn. I love her beauty and style. I have actually sampled her voice in one of my tracks before called ‘Making Me Blush’.
Q: Recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would fit a perfect rave?
Dillon: Parking Garages in any city. Something about the enclosed industrial vibes that are perfect for it.
Saffron: A cave rave!!!!!
Q: What are 3 tracks that got you into electronic music?
Dillon:
Pump Panel - Confusion (Dub - Extended Edit)
Carl Cox - I Want You (forever)
Rhythm Is Rhythm - Strings of Life
Saffron:
Passion - Gat De Cor
Beach Ball - Nalin & Kane
Tears - Frankie Knuckles
