Q: Please introduce yourself
I’m Jerome Naujoks aka End-jy, techno dj & producer from Belgium since the nineties. I’m also the label manager of Move recordings.
Q: One person you'd dream to have a coffee with?
My wife, because I never had the time for that.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Returning in the past, to play again in a party with the spirit of the nineties.
Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score, what movie would you choose and why?
Guardians of the Galaxy, it’s one of my favorite movies.
Q: Who has been the most influential in your music career? And why?
Marco Bailey that I meet for the first time in 1996. It was the beginning of a long friendships. For me it’s one of the best Dj & producer in the world.
Q: Tell us about your journey, what got you to where you are today?
I started my career of Dj at Cube with Marco Bailey in 1996. After that I had the opportunity to play in a lot of festivals and clubs in Belgium but also throughout Europe.
In 2000 I met my partner of studio Dimitri Andreas and I released massive techno tracks on Lupp, Terminal M, Intec & Session among many others.
In 2006, I created my own label Move recordings, relaunched in 2024 with help of Igor & Dimitri. The best is still to come.
Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting out their career in music?
Play the music that you like, the social media is not the most important, keep the good vibe & good luck.
Q: Can you recall a DJ set or performance of yours that remains unforgettable to you? Where did it take place, and what makes it stand out among all others?
Technophenix in 1998, with Jack de Marseille. My first open air party in France behind 5000 people.
Q: How has your music style evolved over the years?
I always played the music that I like - good techno. At the beginning hard groove 140 bpm. Now I’m older, it’s more melodic but still techno 128 bpm.
Q: If you were to venture into another music genre, which one would you choose and why?
House music, because in the beginning there was jack and jack had the groove and from this groove came the groove of all the groove 😊
Q: Could you name 3 tracks that got you into electronic music and why?
Ouf what a question. We come from Belgium and I am a children of the Cherry Moon lokeren. So, Cherry Moon Trax I “the house of house”, Wink “don’t laugh” and Green Velvet “Flash”. Fantastic groove & vibe. Timeless.
Q: Can you recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would be perfect for a rave?
Spark’Ho in Mons. Very underground like the golden age of the Belgian clubbing.
Q: Could you tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for the year?
MV06 just coming with by:them and a fantastic remix from Hermanez. MV07 will come next November from Igor & DKA with a remix of Gregor Tresher himself. From my side I will make the MV08 next February with a smashing remix of Pig & Dan.
Q: Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners are probably unaware of?
I’m also the boss of a bodywork shop specializing in bus & coach with 40 workers.
