My name is Jacob Groening, I grew up in northern Germany and I do music since more than 20 years. I run the label Kamai music and i live in Berlin. I love Berlin and i love music!
Q: Favorite Club/Venue and why does it stand out from the rest?
Rummelsbucht Berlin, its one of the last Berlin places which made Berlin what it is. People come to have a good time and for the music. Unfortunately clubs like that are closing one after another in Berlin these days due to gentrification
Q: Analog or Digital? And why?
I prefer analog, I need the knobs and the analog warmth. When I am touring I use digital plugins to create ideas and later I recreate it with the analog synths.
Q: What was the driving force that got you into DJing/Producing and when?
When my brother got turntables I always sneaked in and made some mixes… since then it hit me.
Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?
I would be Sustainable Superhero and force everyone to not use plastic anymore where it is possible... we have to really change our habits.
Q: If you had to play 1 more track at your favorite club, what track would it be and why?

Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year.
I have an EP called Nican that will be released soon on Zero which is a New York based Event Series and they start a label now as well with my EP. I will release 3 more EP's this year where and when is not clear at this point but the music is finished.
Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners don’t know.
I am very forgetful… which leads to always new ideas!
