Newcastle’s Lewis Taylor makes his first appearance on Tjade’s Agrio Tracks with the two-track ‘Love Everlasting / I Feel It’ EP. Known for weaving together UKG grooves and piano-led House motifs, he turns in a confident, floor-filling release destined for heavy summer rotation.
With ‘Love Everlasting’, North-East producer and DJ Lewis Taylor delivers a Trance-tinged anthem built for golden-hour sets. The track beams Balearic warmth via its soaring melodies and that nostalgic shimmer that perfectly captures the upbeat sound of today.
Taylor’s ‘I Feel It’ then flips the vibe, its pumping, driving rhythm underpinned by a deep, Reese-like sub while a big piano lead and vocal sample give it that unmistakable 90s Rave feel.
Lewis Taylor’s productions have found a home on labels like Ec2a, Dansu Discs, and now Agrio Tracks, winning praise from notable artists like Job Jobse and Palms Trax. In the booth, he’s taken to the stage at the iconic Creamfields, Lofi, and World Headquarters, with standout sets alongside the likes of Interplanetary Criminal, X-Coast, and Floorplan.
Q: Please introduce yourself
Hi, I am Lewis Taylor, a 24 year old producer/DJ from the UK :)
Q: One person you'd dream to have a coffee with?
Theo Von. Probably the funniest guy on Earth.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Teleportation. For a DJ, I am terrified of flying lol.
Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score, what movie would you choose and why?
If they ever did a Kevin & Perry Reboot, I would love to be a part of that soundtrack. The original movie’s soundtrack is engrained in UK and Ibiza dance music culture.
Q: Who has been the most influential in your music career? And why?
One of the first artists I fell in love with was Disclosure. Even though my sound now is far from theirs, a lot of techniques or tricks I learned was from watching Disclosures lockdown livestreams. They began streaming production sessions at the same time as I started to learn to produce, so I found it very helpful as there was less content online to help producers at the time.
Q: Tell us about your journey, what got you to where you are today?
I started DJ’ing around 9 years ago and then producing about 5 years ago. I was never amazing at either at first, and I would say I am still far from perfect now. I found both extremely addictive though, and with consistent practice I have improved and started to break into the scene in recent years.
Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting out their career in music?
Be patient and put the work in. Aim for realistic targets and try to avoid comparing yourself with others who are ahead of you. Everyone’s journey is different but if you truly love what you are doing then you will be successful in most cases.
Q: Can you recall a DJ set or performance of yours that remains unforgettable to you? Where did it take place, and what makes it stand out among all others?
Creamfields 2024. I attended the festival every year it was on prior from 2019, and the runway was my favourite stage. So to play with all my friends in the crowd was the best feeling ever. It definitely put my name out there and will never be able to thank Patrick Topping enough for the opportunity to play on the Trick takeover that day.
Q: How has your music style evolved over the years?
My style constantly changes. I started with Garage then slowly transitioned towards house, but I have always liked to dabble in other genres like trance and techno. I think now I am finding my sound, it is a blend of all the genres I take inspiration from.
Q: If you were to venture into another music genre, which one would you choose and why?
When I am not listening to electronic music, I mostly to listen to r&b. I love the smoothness and sexyness of it. The jazzy chords just sound so good.
Q: Could you name 3 tracks that got you into electronic music and why?
1- Basement Jaxx - Red Alert. I remember my mam playing the basement jaxx - the singles album as a child and being drawn to the sound of basement jaxx. Red Alert always stuck out to me and has remained one of my favourite tracks ever since.
2- Isko - Rent (Big Ang Organ Mix). I remember hearing this track at a house party as a teenager and thinking this is the best tune I have ever heard. Me and my friend used to play it from then at every party at least 5 times. This was my first introduction to the organ house/ speed garage world, which has influenced my sound massively.
3- Michael Gray - The Weekend. Will forever be one of my favourite tracks. I remember hearing it on the radio as a kid and falling in love with it. Such a timeless track, I will never get bored of it. I still play this in a lot of my sets to this day.
Q: Can you recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would be perfect for a rave?
I always wanted to play Printworks. I went for one of the closing parties in 2023 and absolutely loved it. It stung me knowing that I would never get the chance to play there, so if it ever reopened it would be a dream to play there.
Q: Could you tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for the year?
This year I plan to do a couple more releases before the end of the year. I have the chance to release on some of my dream labels and ones which are ran by some of my idols but that is all I can say for now.
Q: Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners are probably unaware of?
The lead track Love Everlasting was actually made in one sitting. Usually it takes a bit longer to get a track right, but this one just flowed perfectly and when that happens you know you are onto something good.
