14 FAKTS INTERVIEW WITHloew

Interviewed by GBS , December.09.2021

Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?

Flexible

Q: What was the driving force that got you into Music Production and when?

When I was about 9 or 10 my dad started buying synths & drum machinesfrom Oberheim and Roland.I remember playing around with his Juno 60making all these crazy sounds.By the time I was 11 I had moved onto guitarwith the intention of becoming a rock star! That all changed when I went tomy first rave at the age of 16, from then it was 100% electronic music.

Q: Analog or Digital? And why?

They complement each other but if I had to choose, digital all the way.

Q: What's your favorite venue and why does it stand out from the rest?

Charlie Heggarty's Bangor. It's been closed for years now but I went therereligiously every weekend for about 2 years. It's the place where I becameobsessed with underground music.

Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?

To fall to sleep instantly. If I get an idea at night it will ruin my sleep! MaybeI should seek specialist help...haha

Q: If you had to play 1 more track at your favorite club, what track would it be and why?

Dilemma - In Spirit. Still remember the first time hearing this couldn't believehow much emotion it created on the dance floor.    Q: 1 person you'd dream to have a coffee with?

Stanley Kubrick. I love all his movies

Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?

This is hard as I really love films and the soundtracks for me are an integralpart of that. Maybe an old Hammer house classic like "the devil ridesout".Would be interesting to add electronic elements to refresh the originalscore.Obviously keeping it dark & brooding.

Q: Recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would fit a perfect rave?

Crawfordsburn country park.Although the local council might disagree!

Q: What are 3 tracks that got you into electronic music?

Pink Floyd - Dark side of the moon (The Album) On the Run is one of the firstever techno tracks.

Electric Boogaloo soundtracks (Remember going to my friends house with aroll of Lino/Vinyl over the shoulder to pull a few moves in his mums frontroom.Good times)

Prodigy - Charly (Groundbreaking at the time)

Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year.

Well there'll be more Loew stuff for sure. There's talk of a remix package for 2doves and Strange loop. I'll be handling a 4 to the floor mix of Strangeloop witha very special guest & good friend of mine doing there thing with 2 Doves.I'vejust setup a new mix & mastering room so that's getting busier every weekI'm constantly working on tracks for various dj's & producers.
