Q: Introduce yourself then describe yourself in one word.
My name is Tony Casanova and I currently live in Berlin. As an artist, I’m part of several great music projects, such as the podcast series "Afterhour Sounds" or the newly founded label "Radikon" by Jonas Saalbach and Guzy. Besides, I also belong to a creative collective called „Station Endlos“, based in the east of Germany. If I were to describe myself with one word, it would be empathetic.
Q: Club or Festival and why?
At festivals you have the chance to play in front of a huge amount of people, which always impresses me. In a club, however, there is in my opinion a closer connection between the artist and the crowd, which sometimes creates a really strong emotional exchange. Thus, I think both, club and festival, have their advantages.
Q: Analog or Digital and why?
I think it doesn’t matter whether you produce digital or analogue, the final result is what counts at the end. But I prefer digital. Also because I don’t have enough money for big synths, haha.
Q: Favorite Club/Venue and why does it stand out from the rest?
Station Endlos in Halle East Germany, which is a club run by the „Station Endlos“ collective that I have mentioned earlier. But at the moment the club is still under construction and will open later this year. This place has something very magical and as part of the collective, it is nice to see how it continues to grow.
Q: What was the driving force that got you into DJing/Producing and when?
I started listening to electronic music very early and as I got older, I wanted to understand what was happening there and so I started djing and producing myself.
Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could choose, my superpower would be to be able to fly as it must be the best feeling ever and I wouldn’t have anymore delays, how great would that be!?
Q: Favorite day of the week?
Monday is the DJ´s Sunday!
Q: Favorite sport and why?
Netflix. No explanation needed.
Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?
Oh, that is a difficult question. But I think I would take the movie Avatar. The story of the film is very versatile and therefore, there are a lot of opportunities for musical expressions.
Q: Recommend a Hidden Gem in your Home country
In Berlin there are many old bunkers hidden in the underground. It would be crazy to organize a rave in such a place!

Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year (Exclusive release/announcement)
I am currently working on my EP for Radikon. There will also be an EP on Criminal Bassline and Metanioa in the upcoming months.
Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most of your followers don’t know
In fact, Tony Casanova is my real name and not an artist name.
