Q: What/who inspired you to make this EP album, and what was the creative process like for this EP?

This is somehow our covid times EP - we were in the studio during lockdown and had the strong desire for disco& dancing. It was a time full of contrasts - we started the production with a dance in our studio in the middle ofSt.Pauli overlooking the “Große Freiheit”, but you were not allowed to go dancing and the clubs were closed. But in the end, it was a classic TCFT production, which is always a mixture of a few bottles of rose, a bunch of samples and a few synthesizers

Q: Why did you choose this title for it, and what do you hope the listeners will take away from it?

You could say the name is the result of a yearning for holidays, rosé and long club nights and an extravagant destination like Monaco. But that's only part of the story, because we found an old promotional video for theSaab 900 (man, we love that car) on YouTube that was shot in Monaco and somehow fits the title track perfectly. Maybe we'll upload the bootleg for it ...

Q:How does this EP compare to your previous work?

We slightly moved away from the samples and screwed a lot on old and new synths and played them ourselves - so in the end it felt a lot more disco.

Q: If you were to have a superpower what would it be and why?

Haha – that is an easy one. We want to have brain to midi/audio function implemented in our heads.

Q: Tell us about your journey, the good and the bad that got you to where you are today.

We (Slawomir & Max) have been living far away from each other for a few years now. Of course, this has many downsides: you don't see each other that often, producing via DropBox links and WhatsApp messages is not cool and getting drunk via facetime is not possible at all. But on the other hand, our infrequent meetings are very productive and full of creativity, and the most important thing is that a really intense friendship has developed asa result.

Q: Everyone goes through ups and downs, what’s one habit you adopt to push through the downs?

Yes, I mean we are not professionals in this field – but for us of course good friends and good music can help you to face tough times.
Q: If you had to follow another music genre, which one would you pick and why?

Slawomir and I don't have a different opinion on this subject: Jazz. In the end, we both want to be good piano players who can improvise for hours in a smoky club.

Q: What are your upcoming plans and releases for this year?

We are very productive right now and have almost finished our next EP, which will hopefully be released this year as well. And then we really feel like performing live again and are just checking our setup and rehearsing our show.
