14 FAKTS INTERVIEW WITHVLTRA

22/01/2026

Italian duo VLTRA debut on Loco Dice’s Desolat label with their ‘Feel Da Bon’ EP, a three-track display of driving energy and dancefloor-primed attitude. Their Desolat debut marks another pivotal step for the duo, following releases on Moan, MOOD Collective, SB Recordings, Hellbent Records, and Sound D’Elite. Arriving on 12th December, VLTRA’s ‘Feel Da Bon’ EP sees the duo push their signature blend of punchy percussion and slick grooves even further.

‘Feel Da Bon’ leads with tight snares, catchy vocal hooks, and a driving groove that wraps around playful synths, while ‘Air 133’ strips things back to heavy kicks and raw percussion for a minimalist yet muscular, warped feel. Closing with attitude, ‘Bad B*itch’ pairs electro-tinged textures with R&B-leaning vocals and tension-filled drops, rounding out a bold, late-night-ready package.

Q: Please introduce yourself

Hi Toka, we’re Riccardo and Samuele — friends since middle school. That’s actually when we first started making music together, playing in our school band.

Q: One person you'd dream to have a coffee with?

Definitely Carl Cox. Besides being a true legend of electronic music, we feel he’s incredibly humble and empathetic on a human level. Sharing a coffee with him would honestly be an honor.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

Speaking every language in the world. You’d break any communication barrier with anyone you meet along the way — how cool would that be?

Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score, what movie would you choose and why?

Hands down Pulp Fiction. It’s one of our favorite movies. We love the creativity behind it — and that beautifully weird vibe that makes it such a timeless classic.

Q: Who has been the most influential in your music career? And why?

We’ve been influenced by so many artists over the years. To name a few: Armand Van Helden, Michael Bibi, and Butch.

Q: Tell us about your journey, what got you to where you are today?

Music itself, honestly. We’ve always focused more on production than DJing. Performances came as a result of the tracks we released — they started getting recognized in the market and hitting some great milestones.

Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting out their career in music?

Patience, consistency, daily effort, and total dedication. Passion has to be the foundation — without it, you just won’t have the fuel for the sacrifices this path requires.

Q: Can you recall a DJ set or performance of yours that remains unforgettable to you? Where did it take place, and what makes it stand out among all others?

One of our favorites — and you can find it on SoundCloud — is definitely our set at Cocoricó in Riccione, one of the most iconic clubs in Italy with over two decades of history. The vibes were insane and the crowd was absolutely wild.

Q: How has your music style evolved over the years?

We started making electronic music through Progressive House, inspired by artists like Avicii, Hardwell, and Tiësto. Later on, discovering the underground clubs in our city pulled us toward Techno, thanks to artists like Nicole Moudaber, Green Velvet, and Loco Dice.

Q: If you were to venture into another music genre, which one would you choose and why?

Definitely Pop, Funky House, and Disco. Simply because we love listening to those genres in everyday life — in the car or hanging out with friends.

Q: Could you name 3 tracks that got you into electronic music and why?

These three, no question:

1- Hardwell – Spaceman

2- Avicii – Levels

3- Armand Van Helden – You Don’t Know Me

Q: Can you recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would be perfect for a rave?

Unfortunately, our city doesn’t really offer a place like that. The only iconic electronic music club in Palermo used to be Mob Discotheatre — but it doesn’t exist anymore.

Q: Could you tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for the year?

We’re finally back with new music on Desolat, Loco Dice’s label — one we’ve followed for years. We’re super happy to be part of that family. In 2026 we’ve got two singles and two EPs lined up for the first half of the year. As for tours, we’ll be hitting the USA again, plus Ibiza and all over Italy.

Q: Can you share a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners are probably unaware of?

We love trying Smashburgers in every American city we visit. At this point, we’ve probably tasted around 12 different ones already.
