Kamai Music is a record label that releases deep and melodic music with a focus on organic house. Run by German artist Jacob Groening, Kamai Music’s latest output is a two-part release by K2W0. K2W0 is a talented artist from the UK who has been on the rise following successful releases on influential record labels including the likes of Magician On Duty, MONADA, KataHaifisch and Talpa Records. Making his debut on Kamai Music, the first part of K2W0’s dual release features his original track “Aint No Sunshine” which takes lyrics from the classic Bill Withers track with the same title, and adds in some bluesy saxophone plus poignant chords. There are also remixes of Aint No Sunshine by SAQIB who’s an American artist who usually works in a downtempo style, but this time he delivers an upbeat and disco-tinged version that adds a new bassline and conga loop to the original’s vocal.Jacob Groening also remixes Aint No Sunshine, but instead opts for a deep and techy version with a new pulsating bassline and trippy use of the vocal. The second part of the release is titled “Sometimes” and it’s a downtempo track with jangling guitar chords and vocals that sound like they are samples from a mysterious old blues record.Sometimes gets the remix treatment from Canadian artist Lost Boy who creates a stripped back version with deep atmosphere that still has enough energy to keep the dance floor moving.Out now, you can buy a copy HERE.
