Q: Introduce yourself
Exciting ! I think that's the first official interview for Yubik. Hi Toka, I am pleased to be here. My name is Maximilian and I'm looking forward to the next 13 questions.
Q: Analog or Digital and why?
In my opinion this question doesn´t matter. Its more interesting what is created by the medium, whether analog or digital.
Q: Favorite Club/Venue and why does it stand out from the rest?
To be honest, I have not met too many clubs yet. Of course some clubs in Berlin have a special vibe. However, if I had to commit, I would choose the beautiful „KAFES“ in Istanbul. This venue has an incredible view of the ocean, which is hard to beat.
Q: What was the driving force that got you into DJing/Producing and when?
I think it was the curiosity in the younger years, a kind of journey of discovery through the world of electronic music, which always gives me the feeling to immerse myself more and more in this world.
Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?
Heavy choice. But to be able to fly once in a lifetime would be an incredible feeling which one can hardly imagine.
Q: Favorite Dish?
Falafel all the time ! :)
Q: What’s your biggest fear while performing?
Fear can hide behind so many things. It is important to learn to deal with it.

Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?
Good Question =).When I orient myself to my feeling in the studio, the first thing I think of is the movie "Matrix". Science fiction, mystical and electrifying at the same time.
Q: Recommend a Hidden Gem in your Home country
Every time I'm on the road, I come across places where I think, "Imagine, a big rave here ! But I can not commit myself to one place. I’ll keep my eyes open and bring you pictures next time.

Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year.
Next release will be back again at the Reto II on Radikon, end of the year. Furthermore, the plan is to release more music on „Stil Vor Talent“. In addition there will come a new Yubik Edit really soon. I can not say more than that, except that I am working in the Studio really hard. So just keep your ears and eyes open.
Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners don’t know.
Sounds funny, but when I am djing I always have this habit of align the crossfader exactly to the center only when it is exactly in the middle I am reassured.
Q: Last but not least, do you have any questions for us?
Yubik: What does Toka mean?
Toka: Toka means "And" in Japanese, "And Musik" means there's music in everything we do.
