Hi, It’s GIGEE here 👋 originally Paulina Gielniewska, born and raised in Warsaw but I consider myself a citizen of the world, Paris is my second home. Creativity at its finest and the vision of the future music industry are what drive me the most.
Q: Favorite Club/Venue and why does it stand out from the rest?
I like too many to choose. Hopefully my own in the near future, plans have been already made.
Q: Analog or Digital? And why?
Analog with digital features - I really like to ‘feel’ the gear under my fingers but I’m also a kinda tech & digital geek, so that combination makes a perfect match to me :)
Q: What was the driving force that got you into DJing/Producing and when?
Some inside calling. And when music is calling, you just can’t resist.
Q: If you were to have a superpower, what would it be and why?
Ability to heal others.
Q: If you had to play 1 more track at your favorite club, what track would it be and why?
Depends on my current mood though…
Q: What’s your biggest fear while performing?
Probably technical issues with gear.
Q: 1 person you’d dream to have a coffee with?
Recently? Definitely Najwa Nimri.
Q: If you would have been given the chance to do a film score from the past, what movie would you choose and why?
Could it be a series? I would pick Game of Thrones. I just love that vibe and going super emotional and cinematic with the orchestrals. Such a spectrum of possibilities and ideas.
Q: Recommend a hidden gem in your home country that would fit a perfect rave?
I can’t tell you but I can show you…
Q: 3 Tracks that got you into electronic music
Paul Kalkbrenner - Dockyard (b Seite)
Gesaffelstein - Opr
Brodinski - Let the beat control your body
Q: Tell us about your upcoming releases and plans for this year.
More peak time/harder techno releases on the way, and I will also be coming back to Mobilee with another EP but I can’t tell you more yet as we’re in the middle of the creative process with Ralf Kolmann and everything changes daily. :)
Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself that most of your listeners don’t know.
I recently discovered that most toilets flush in E flat. Hadn’t told anyone yet.
